Crafted for those who love to entertain, this bespoke home bar embodies the balance of elegance and practicality that defines every Kenton Jones creation. Built around our timeless Artisan Shaker design, it transforms a domestic setting into a refined social space – warm, welcoming, and beautifully detailed.
Finished in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue, the cabinetry offers depth and character, while Calacatta Oro quartz surfaces introduce a subtle luxury through soft veining and light reflection. Brass fixtures and antique mirrors add further sophistication, capturing the glow of the room at every angle.
Designed, hand-finished, and installed by our in-house craftsmen, the Hague Blue Bespoke Bar is a showcase of proportion, material harmony, and craftsmanship, proof that bespoke design can elevate even the most intimate corners of a home.
Q) What was your brief from the client?
The client wanted to create a luxurious bar made for entertaining. They wanted everything easily accessible and displayed, as you’d find in a commercial bar or restaurant.
Q) How did you answer the brief?
They were drawn to the timeless, classic feel of our Shaker-style kitchen. Finished with a bold colour. The glass dressers were a great option to be able to see everything, we added additional lighting and antique mirrors to the backing of the open area to give the illusion of bigger space. Even the worktops were chosen to enhance the light and compliment the door colours.
Q) Which products did you use and why?
We painted their cabinets in Hague Blue from Farrow & Ball. The Calacatta Oro quartz worktop is extremely durable and stain-resistant, so it was the perfect choice for a drinks working area, much more forgiving than marble but similar in appearance. It also provides a crisp contrast and works well with the brass detailing.
Q) What design elements do you think make the scheme so successful?
The wow factor is the finer detail, the brass finished handles, sink and tap were chosen to complement the gold veins in the worktop and the mirror pattern. Off-white worksurfaces and walls keep the scheme looking fresh. One of the unique design features are the scalloped wine racks shaped to locate wine bottles in effortlessly.
